Cinnamon Apple Pouches
Cinnamon apple pouches garnished with caramel sauce and brown sugar.

Fall / Winter
Yield: 4 pieces
4 sheets of phyllo pastry
4 apples, peeled and sliced
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp white sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tbsp melted butter
Caramel Sauce
Yield: 1 cup
1 cup white sugar
1 cup 35% cream
Apple Pouches
1. Brush phyllo with melted butter, sprinkle with granulated sugar and cinnamon.
2. Over medium heat cook sliced apples and brown sugar in a small pan. Let cool.
3. Place 1/2 cup apple mixture in the centre of each phyllo sheet. Fold upward to create a sealed bundle.
4. Bake in 375F oven for 10 minutes, or until golden brown.
Caramel Sauce
1. Cook white sugar in saucepan until caramelized. Add cream and stir until smooth.
2. Transfer into a serving container.
Spoon caramel sauce over each phyllo apple bundle. Serve warm.
